‘Narratives of Forced Migration in the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries’


The conference will take place from midday on Monday 16 September to Wednesday 18 September. On Monday evening, there will be a screening of the play The Trojans and Q&A at the Macrobert Arts Centre, also on Stirling Campus.

Where?

The conference venue is Stirling Court Hotel, Airthrey Road, Stirling FK9 4LA, on the University of Stirling’s campus. The campus is located at the historic heart of Scotland, with convenient links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the rest of the UK and beyond.

Travel

Scotland’s two main international airports Edinburgh and Glasgow are less than an hour away by car and about 1 hour 30 min by public transport. A range of public transport options can link you from the airport to their respective city centres - including taxi, bus or tram - where you can access either train or coach services to Stirling.

The University campus is situated less than 3 miles from the Stirling city centre and can be accessed by foot, bike or regular bus service. The campus is also 1.5 miles from Bridge of Allan’s train station. Accommodation

There will be limited places for residential packages at the Stirling Court Hotel, where the conference will be held. Otherwise, there are two budget hotels in Stirling – Travelodge and Premier Inn – both within walking distance of the train station and bus links to campus.
